Oral Surgery

In the days to come I'll be laying low following oral surgery. It's nothing major, but for sure it'll be tedious.

Several years ago I had two implants. One has failed, which means it has to come out. Such an extraction differs from it's routine counterpart in that it has to be unscrewed from the bone. Ugh. This particular procedure requires a tooth adjacent to the failing implant come out too. Double ugh!

Well, I'd rather spend my time and money doing something radically different, and fun. Can I get an "amen!"?

I've not ruled out a miracle, which would negate the need for tomorrow's procedure.

Either way, I'll see you on the other side of this newest adventure.

Oh mercy... my son had a dental implant last summer. The bother of it all. I hurt for you sister because I know this isn't fun. I've often said I'd rather birth a child than to have a dentist working in my mouth... I mean that. But then I remember all the responsibility that comes with rearing a youngin' and I bite my tongue.

Blessings to you as you recover and pause and take good care of your ailing mouth. You are my good, kind friend, and I was thinking about you the other night and how I might incorporate Sassy Granny's cookies into an upcoming chemo visit. I can't think of anything better to brighten a day than a couple of your oatmeal-raisin cookies.

Love you.

You have an "amen" here, Kathleen! I do not enjoy going to the dentist. I cannot imagine what you are going through, but will pray for you through this procedure. Get well real soon and don't let this "adventure" get you down! Loves and hugs to take with you.

oh yes, a miracle would be great right now! However, as with many things, God wants the problem corrected, so He will guide you right through it.

Praying for a smooth process and recovery.

Hugs!

I'm praying for you, too. I've been putting off some major dental work. Eventually, I too will need to "bite the bullet".

Kathleen, to me, that sounds dreadful. I have been in my braces for 2 1/2 years and chose to not do an implant where they pulled a tooth to make room for the movement. I'm thinking of you-

Ouch...praying for easy tooth removal and a quick recovery, Sassy. I always dread going to the dentist. I don't like anyone in my face or in my personal space, so dental visits are always a challenge for me.

Feel better, soon...praying for you!

Since I am so late in my blog visits, I feel downright sorry that I did not know you were going through this pain, and pain it is. I know that first hand after all I had done to the inside of my mouth. The best part is that the mouth is the fastest healing part of the body. Sure do hope you are feeling much better by now.
