Pray for Elaine Olsen

Some days greet us with the most beautiful of sounds and scenes and stories. Other days pack a wallop that makes it difficult to breath. Today is one such.

If you're the praying sort, please keep my dear friend Elaine and her family in your prayers. Elaine's about to wage a herculean battle against breast cancer.

For some reason I'm not able to embed here the link to Elaine's blog: Peace for the Journey. But you can go there by clicking on her link on my sidebar.

Trust me, you'll be blessed to read her telling; a telling that begins and ends with a powerful God that has not taken His eye off her for one split second.

"It doesn't matter how long God chooses to
preserve my earthly life.
What matters is how I choose to preserve Him
in the earthly life I've been given."
Elaine Olsen

I'm so glad you posted this Kathleen. I emailed Elaine earlier and have had tears since I read her post. I told her I'm in the middle of her book, and it's the book of her life, how God has brought her to this very place, and now we will walk and pray with her as we see God carry her through this.

I also told her that I hope no one trys to tell me that our cyber friiends aren't real... her heart and life are so real to me this morning as I pray for her.

Thanks for sharing, and we will all trust God on her behalf for what HE is going to do!!

Love you.

Kathleen, I am earnestly praying for Elaine. When I learned of the situation this morning, it seemed a knife went into my heart. She is an amazing woman of faith, and she is a true friend.

Her faith inspires me, and I want to join you in prayer for her health and healing, and for the grace and peace of God to carry her through this storm.

Thank you for sharing her need.

Much Love,

I am soo glad you brought this to my attention. I have already been to her blog and have begun to pray. Her comment of
"It doesn't matter how long God chooses to preserve my earthly life. What matters is how I choose to preserve Him in the earthly life I've been given." sooo touched my heart and spirit as it just soo sums up that truth. What an inspiration she is going to be to those around her. HUGS, Debbie

Oh no. My heart sunk when I saw this post on another site and had to come here to read why. I am so sorry she has to go through this now with the move and all but God knows why. I will go there now.

I had read about Elaine via Beth E's blog and went straight to Elaine's blog.

Definitely will be lifting this sister in Christ in our prayers!

We can become a strand of pearls here in Blogland for our precious sister - a strand of PRAYER WARRIORS - to stand with her and trust God with her and laugh with her and cry with her. Affliciton has touched many of our lives, yet God continues to use it all for His good and for His glory when we release it back to Him.

I know she has done just that!

Standing - and strung in PRAYER!

Choosing JOY, Stephanie

Words you pray that you will never hear, even more so when they are in regards to a lady whose book has been blessing your life in such a real and special way. Ever since I won Elaine's book, God has been using it in a special way in my life. I feel like I know her personally, and that is exactly how my prayers for her and her family will be prayed. Thank you for sharing and for giving us the privilege of praying for her during this hurting time.
