From Brussels

Here we are, sitting aboard the train as we make our way across the farm-strewn countryside outside of Brussels, in route to Dusseldorf, Germany. It's been a smooth and uneventful trip thus far, though we've made mental notes about what NOT to bring next trip. High on that list is a 43 pound suitcase!

Making the time transition (9 hours) was a bit rugged at first, but we've adjusted well. We've snapped and filmed some great photos, expecting much more to come as we continue our sojourn here.

Internet is sketchy, so I'm not sure if/when I'll next report. Suffice it to say, I've much time to think and reflect. Life is good and God is great!

Blessings to all.

"Life is good and GOD is great" indeed. Enjoy yourselves. I'll be checking for updates BUT I pray you have too much time enjoying yourself to get online with us BUT we'll miss you and so look forward to loads of photos and all the treats the LORD provides.

Love you.

How fun! I am looking forward to seeing the photos. I got a chuckle out the "what not to bring" comment. Been there and done that. I think if I could travel as much as I would like I would have it down to a paper bag by now. Thanks for sharing this adventure and I am excited for you!

God bless you keep you safe on your journey!

Every time I visit your blog, I find myself wishing that I could write and express myself as well as you do. You just have a way with words and making it all so interesting. I hope you share pictures, since that is a part of the world that I never saw. Time to think and reflect is so necessary. Enjoy my friend.

How exciting to be out and about on vacation in Europe. I just got back from vacation and you are gone. I am posting vacation pictures this week. I hope you take lots of pics and share your time there with us too.

I know what you mean about the 43 pound suitcase. We packed two huge suitcases for our entire family for the week, so they were really heavy. 45.5 pounds to be exact. Thank God we did not have to trasport them far and that they had wheels. What did people used to do before suitcases with wheels?

Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous time and eat lots of chocolate. Savor every moment!

a limerick before Dusseldorf...

From Arizona to Brussels, Sassy traveled...
Many long hours, for sure she was frazzled.
But while taking in farm sights,
Sassy typed to her website...
noting mentally, "Next trip will be lite!"

So happy it's been uneventful--
can't imagine a time transition of 9 hours...ouch! Do you have a trick to handle the headaches?

Continue to snap many pics and enjoy your sojourn in each place...sending travelling mercies your way!
